The Blog

Driving through the tree lined boulevards of Montrose gives anyone great joy. And I can see why property owners, tenants and so many businesses choose this neighborhood.

Looking back in history Montrose was once called the Heart of Houston and I certainly wouldn’t disagree. It’s character is like no other area of town. Montrose is hip, artsy, and vibrant.

Montrose has proven that land value can still go up and that you can have it all. From high rises with astonishing views of Hermann Park, museums, mansions, restaurants, a Metro’s light rail system – making commute a breeze, and close proximity to the medical center that no other neighborhood can offer.  And let’s not forget about the University of St Thomas.

The average home price in Montrose is $615,000.

I still remember the first day I visited the Black Labrador. Wow! How time flies. I used to have an office at the Central Market building back when graphic design was my “thing”.  And every morning driving from home to Montrose and back felt just right. I remember how curious I was about the origins of it and it’s uniqueness. These memories bring me lots of JOY. Which is exactly what Montrose is to me. The joyful side of town for all to experience.
