Curb Appeal
Definition: the visual attractiveness of a house as seen from the street.
If you are selling your home, basic improvements can dramatically increase the value of your property. Replacement of major items such as windows or the roof could play a part. But it is not always necessary. Curb appeal is in “the whole package” which means that small details are also important in the big picture.
So, how do you make sure your property has a nice CURB APPEAL? Here are a few ideas:
1. Clean up all the clutter
2. Replace old hardware
3. Power wash the front porch and driveway
4. Buy Planters and mow the lawn
5. Freshen the front door
6. Paint or replace siding
7. Install outdoor lighting to highlight the landscape
8. Add Shutters or any other accent trim
9. Fix or paint the fence
10. Tile doorstep or build walkway
11. Highlight your address / home numbers
12. Make sure the mailbox is not falling apart – replace if necessary
13. Kill mold and mildew on the house
14. Clean windows and gutters
Good Luck!
